Dirty Dancing

Here's a recent pic from my night out at the gay bar! Yes, I still go there! And I ran into old co-workers who were also surprised to see me there. "Oh God we didn't tell our husbands that we were coming here!" I told them to relax and have fun, and that everyone is friendly. I haven't been there in a while due to being sick. I made up for it by dancing the night away with my pals. It was so much fun!!! I highly recommend dancing to anyone who needs a mood lifter:)

P.S. By the way, when I was home for the meal, my dad didn't hassle me about anything. He thought I'd stay over, but a snowstorm was due at midnight and I had to work today...When I came home, I called to say that I arrived safely. He said to be careful on the roads and to take rest. Guess that dear mother of mine told him to go easy on this soon-to-be 32 year old:)

To Kill A Cold And Win A Man

The reason I haven't been here much is because of a nasty cold! Bleh! It has been in my system for 10 days (or more??!) and frankly I want it to take a hike. You've overstayed your welcome! Go find another immune system to hack!!! I almost lost my voice a few days ago. Desperate for relief (nyquil, vick's vapor rub, hot tea...temporary remedies but not enough!), I took the advice of a friend and...hit the bar! Hehehehe. She told me to try blackberry brandy--that it never fails her. Since the liquor stores were closed, I paid a visit to the bar. What a riot. It was Friday night and I showed up in my grey trench coat. The place was packed with college students. I sat at the bar by myself and downed two shots of the stuff. After 20 minutes I left. All I could do was laugh to myself...I felt like Columbo (the TV detective) with the coat. Later that night, Angel called and I told him about my trip to the bar. We had great laughs--even though my voice was cracking, the phone call was the best therapy!

Well, in other news...the dating scene is driving me up the wall. On the one hand, I really like this new guy. But our schedules are not in synch, and we basically text to keep in touch. It's kind of crazy. We have silly chats and that's always fun. Yet, I get the feeling that he's afraid of getting too involved (physically I don't think he minds...hehehe!). Sigh. What's the point of relationships then? You can't run away from them! One has to take risks--such is life no? Anyway that's all for now. I promise that I'll visit all the neglected blogs. Sorry sorry! Please forgive me.
