I've been on a leave of absence from blogging again. Work and other stressors were just piling up...So much that my face exploded with tiny pimples (which I'm still trying to kill with whatever acne products I can find!) And a sore, swollen neck to add to the madness. I'd rather be busy at work, but my body couldn't tolerate the pressures anymore. On a good note, I got a nice massage from a friend who considers massage therapy his hobby. Am I lucky or what?! Wowie it felt so good! I'll definitely go back again.
The hectic schedule didn't allow for much time to catch up on the news. I see that Mother Nature has been angry lately. What is She trying to tell us? Perhaps that we should practice more random acts of kindness to our fellow earthlings? I certainly have my days of not so fresh feelings and would rather hide in a tunnel somewhere...But I know that it wouldn't work for me. I'd rather be surrounded by silliness and hard laughter. Last week I went to bingo for the very first time with an elderly resident from work. It was fun! She said she was breaking me into her bad habits:) We'd always joke around about going together, but I always had to work on bingo nites. Alas last Wed I was able to tag along. Picked her up and came back about five hours later. She said she appreciated the company and I left with a warm feeling in my heart:)
Last nite, one of the residents who's known for her stubborn character asked if I was a Christian. I said that I was born as a Hindu, but as I grew up, I learned that all the religions teach the same principles...practice compassion to our fellow humans. We might come in different forms, but essentially we're made up of the same elements...She said that such a belief wouldn't get me to heaven. I just smiled and said I guess we're all entitled to our beliefs. I didn't leave with an angry feeling. Just made me want to butter her up even more:) Although I don't tolerate rudeness or ignorant behavior, I watch my back too...Be kind yet also aware of the surroundings.
Okay folks have an excellent weekend! This Egg plans on de-stressing heavily....

Message Therapy? Is that what adults are calling it now? ;)
I share in your thoughts about religion. So great to know other people have the same thoughts.
Hope you are properly de-stressed now, and things are a little more relaxed. I like the view you gave to the lady about religion. Very nice.
I took a blogging vacation myself for the same reasons. Glad you're back
Mother Nature was pissed off at us Friday Night it's never fun to make a woman mad
A-ron: Massage therapy:) I do have a buddy who gives excellent massages. Um there's another kind of massage therapy which doesn't involve friends...hehe!
RM: I don't subscribe to a particular brand of religion. I call mine Eggology..we accept all eggs as they are:)
Mr. Shife: Yes, the de-stressing was very nice. I'm going to do it again very soon! And the lady is just one of those types who has a strict interpretation of who God really is. Too bad for her. I plan on having fun with lots of different eggs when I get to Heaven!
Phats: Welcome back! Hope you enjoyed your break. Yeah it's never a good thing to cross a woman's temper!
I know it is a bad habit, but my de-stressing involves alcohol.
As a guy, I don't get back- or neck- rubs... I'm just expected to give them. I did have magic hands at one time, though I'm out of practice now.
I'm not part of any organised religion either. Actually, I call my beliefs de-organised religion.
