I did it! I sent a bag of goodies to my crush. Of course he wasn't expecting it, and had a surprised look on his face. And I was glad that I was able to utter a few words without hyperventilating. He smiled and said "That's excellent." I left a thank you note with my contact info. I'm not sure if I'll ever hear from him, but I took a chance...So much for keeping a low profile! Hehehe. I can't trust myself with these promises.
I have to tell you why I was so impressed with this gentleman. When I went to pick up my refills (along with my brother's), he began a pleasant exchange. A few minutes of joking came to end after I saw the bill for the dope (okay they're legal medications for headaches and allergies). Turns out the dear brother forgot to check about the co-pay for his share of the dope. It came out to almost 100 bucks. Seeing my expression he asked if I wanted to double check with dear brother. I didn't have a cell, so he dialed his number and gave me the phone. Of course he didn't want it. We're broke-ass MDs. So, we had to redo the bill and I left with my usual "Sorry about that"...I thought it was a nice gesture on his part. And, of course, it was another reason to find him even more charming/cute.
So, a few days ago I went back to deliver him some sweets from a local cafe. Their desserts are superbly yummy. I had to pick a day when he wasn't working--my luck! Two co-workers looked at me with a weird grin. Probably because I also had a weird grin. I can't help it--I give myself away with the silly mannerisms. They told me that he'd be back on Thurs and Fri. Alas, I finished the mission without a hitch. It would have been nice to exchange more pleasantries, but it was a place of business...and I didn't want to make more spicy drama with co-workers and customers. Few minutes of conversation and good-bye. Short and sweet.
Well, Universe you can't tell me that I didn't try. Now the ball is in your court. I have to thank my crew at the local cafe, and the elderly clients at the workplace...apparently times have changed. Hehehe. As if I didn't know that. Okay it doesn't hurt to get a nudge once in a while. (If he's taken, then it's okay. More espresso brownies for me!)

Well good luck to you, and way to go. I hope this is the start of something nice. Keep me posted.
Thanks Mr. Shife! I knew that you'd be proud of me:)
Do you have to be a crush to get the sweets delivered, because I'd sure like some ha.
That's great I am happy for ya, even if he never calls at least you had the guts to do it. that was nice of him too, to let you call.
Wait? The crush is a pharmacist? That's sweet. You two were made for each other... just think of the good times you two could have? :D
Very best of wishes to you. Stay positive. :o)
May I give you my girlfriend's email address and you can tell her how to bake brownies? :)
Ohhhhhhh....my fingers are so crossed! And um, I know you're not crushing on me but may I have a brownie?
Wow. I am impressed by you putting yourself out there like that.
awwww you're so brave!! I can't wait to hear more on this
To all concerned citizens--I haven't heard back from the fellow. I think he might be taken (of course with a charm like that, I wouldn't be surprised!). Or, he might not be interested. It's all good though. I gave him the treats because he showed all the skills of empathy and kindness. Thus, he deserved the sweets 100%. Thanks for the good wishes. If there are updates, I'll keep everyone informed.
